The minutes of the May meeting were approved as printed in the June issue of the Islander.

Financial Secretary Marilyn Fuchs' report showed deposits of $249.00 in the Club's account during the past month.

Treasurer Ken Sale's report showed a balance in the Club's cash management account of $38,514.77 at the end of the reporting period.

Membership Pat Barnett sent word that there have been no changes in membership during the past month. There are currently 98 people on the waiting list.

Captain John Matthews reported on the completion of the new deck and on the newly sanded and stained Clubhouse exterior. John and Peter are still looking into filter systems to make the Island water potable. UNTIL THIS FILTER SYSTEM IS IN PLACE, MEMBERS ARE REMINDED THAT THE WATER ON THE ISLAND IS NOT SUITABLE FOR DRINKING.

Caretaker Peter Jones noted that attendance at Third Saturday work sessions has fallen off dramatically. Members concluded that more advance planning was necessary for the Third Saturday work sessions and for the -- spring and fall workfests.

David Lyles indicated that he would provide a slide show on his recent canoeing trip to Maine at the conclusion of the July meeting.

The meeting adjourned at 8:55pm.
